HTC Netherlands says there’s no KitKat for One X or One X+

OneX+

HTC is already updating its One flagship to 4.4 KitKat, with the One max and One mini to follow. Many are wondering will the 2012 device get the KitKat treatment?

According to HTC Netherlands Twitter page, the HTC’s 2012 flagships (One X and/or One X+) will stuck in the latest update (4.2.2 with Sense 5).

If the tweet is translated, it will sounds like:

“We can confirm the HTC One X+ will remain on the current software version, Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5.”

That means you’ll not getting major OS update, again. No update for 4.3, 4.4, etc. But why? It should run smoothly because the processor is quad-core and they both has 1GB RAM. Of course, you can flash any unofficial 4.3 or 4.4 ROM, but nothing beats a software update that comes straight from HTC itself.

Or maybe this is only a mistake that come from official statement. We’ll keep you posted.
